BaanBan Cafe

Online brand BaanBan brings its on-trend Chinese pastries to Siam Square.

After offering its khanom pia (Chinese pastries) for delivery and at pop-ups over the past year, BaanBan has finally found a home at Siam Square One.

The cafe still focuses on the pastries that made it famous. Standard versions are anything but, stuffed with everything from Belgian chocolate to taro, red velvet cream cheese, truffle, and salted egg yolk (B39/piece). Don’t miss the special “lava” options, though, available in flavors like cocoa and Nutella, monthong durian, and the on-trend white chocolate ganja (B69/piece).

BaanBan now offers dessert drinks featuring their pastries, too. Think Earl Grey and Assam tea topped with coconut mousse and khanom pia ice cream (B120) or foi thong-topped iced lattes mixed with crème brûlée syrup (B135).

Don’t want such an extreme sugar high? Try the ice cream alone, available in seven flavors, including Belgian dark chocolate, charcoal Hojicha tea, and truffle cream cheese. Get it in a cup (B79-219) or as scoops in a waffle cone (B89/small scoop; B129/regular scoop).
