Buzz: Balaclava at Suntec City has always been bustling with white collared workers chugging pints and sipping wine after a hard day’s work. So the bar’s decision to relocate has understandably raised a few eyebrows. But Balaclava faithfuls can now pop that champagne in celebratory fashion as the joint recently opened right in the heart of city at ION Orchard.

Décor: The bar is divided into three sections: The main bar, a sports bar and a lounge area on its second floor. Where their Suntec establishment was known for their lively alfresco area, their latest location pushes for a more intimate setting with mahogany and black paneled walls, softened lights, raised bar stools and cocktail tables.

Food & Drinks: The staple offerings of cocktails, house pour beers and liquor and a selection of premium wines and champagnes are available. Try their Teppanyaki bar if you’re looking for a boozy snack.

Music: Local DJs spin commercial house music from 7pm onwards.

Crowd: The demographics at Balaclava ION are pretty similar to their previous establishment at Suntec; young and active office workers sharing the latest happenings with their friends.
