Kinki Restaurant + Bar
Funky Japanese fare at Customs House.
Located on the second floor of the iconic Customs House, this modern Japanese bar and restaurant is a funky space with a brightly-colored floor mural (designed by Miami Ink’s Chris Garver), exposed pipes and light fixtures fashioned from fishing hooks. Servers look as hip as the décor, togged out in black Kinki T-shirts, jeans and kicks. As you listen to their house track of hip hop and funk, dig into dishes like tofu steak with teriyaki sauce ($18) and foie gras and scallop sushi ($24). It’s a great match for their Asian-inspired cocktails such as the ginger kumquat caipirinha ($19)—rum, kumquat and ginger syrup—as well as their wines (from $80) and sake (from $24).
