From experience at restaurants like Canvas and Suhring, Pikun “Kate” Wangsantia has now turned restaurateur with her very own fine-dining venture. It all started when Kate’s friends came down for a social visit and then word-of-mouth did the rest of the work. 

This supper club is set in an intimate space, hidden behind a bookshelf that looks like a stylish living room on the second floor of Kate’s shophouse.

Kate’s Place aims to serve the staple Thai comfort food, a blend between traditional and fancy. The signature set menu (B990) here changes monthly and offers two starters, four shared courses, and a dessert. Think, beef panang with seasonal fruit, steamed red snapper with pickled lime, king pad prik manao, and more.
