Cinema Oasis
Cinema Oasis, the theater space dedicated to independent art, is finally up and running.
Founded by Ing Kanjanavit, director of Shakespeare Must Die, and Manit Sriwanichpoom, the owner of Kathmandu Gallery, the new, 48-seat cinema with Barco 2K projector and Digital Dolby 5.1 surround sound set in a striking brutalist building on Sukhumvit Soi 43 promises some of the finest from the indie underground.
Keep an eye on its website for future films, talks and art events. Movie tickets go for B160 for adults and B100 for students and elders. While drinks are not sold here, moviegoers can still get popcorn and Thai snacks.
