Bye bye Seen Space, hello Pirate Arena. Thonglor Soi 13’s classic, pre-Commons hangout spot has a distinctly nautical feel nowadays, thanks to the same people who made Fallabella the ultimate party spot of Hermes-toting heiresses.

 

Gone are Ashley Sutton bars and brunch cafes in favor of a duo of pirate-themed places. The first to open is Pirate Saloon, a sprawling galeon-themed bar complete with membership-only games room.

 

Knock back coconut-and-Captain Morgan cocktails (prices around B380) while chomping on Thonglor circa 2012 bar bites: angel hair pasta with shrimp paste, crab meat, truffle and Thai chili (B750).
