Bee's Knees at The Garage
The ground level of the minimalist establishment The Garage is home to casual brunch spot serving eggs, waffles, and more.
Located on the ground floor of a restored heritage garage in the Botanic Gardens, Bee's Knees is the sort of place you can bring your dog after a morning run. They do easy fare like eggs, waffles, pizza, pasta and an extensive selection of sandwiches and salads. Try the Serranito, with Serrano ham, brie cheese and charred eggplant and save room for their red wine chocolate fudge cake.
Located at the ground level of the two-storey minimalist establishment The Garage, is a casual, pet- and kid-friendly brunch spot, serving eggs, waffles, pizza, pasta and an extensive selection of sandwiches and salads. Decked out with green, white and brown wallpapers, distressed concrete flooring and wooden furniture, Bee’s Knees looks like the cool hipster joint your followers would double tap when they see it on your Instagram feed.
For the sandwiches menu, you can look forward to the usage of a variety of cheese. There’s the Farm to Belly, which uses goat cheese, paired with cherry tomatoes, vegetables, roasted pumpkin and focaccia bread ($14), and the Serranito, a more premium version of the conventional ham and cheese sandwich that has serrano ham, brie cheese and charred eggplant ($14). Or you could avoid cheese altogether and order the Pinche Chicken, which consists of chicken breast, avocado, charred baby corn, watercress and Jalapeno mayonnaise ($14). If you are a fan of truffle-everything, they also offer the truffle-carbonara flavored pizza and pasta, which comes with bacon, parmesan cheese and confit onion ($26; $18 respectively). Otherwise, you can opt for a slightly more spicy Aglio E Olio Vongole ($18).
Besides the main courses, they’re also serving a selection of same-y options like waffles ($14), cakes ($7), ice-cream ($6), jars and churros ($9). Their cake are pretty exceptional though; try interesting flavors like the red wine chocolate fudge or coconut pineapple (you can add a scoop of ice-cream as well). On the drinks front, you can refresh yourself with a delicious coconut milkshake, calamansi juice or go all out on the day-drinking and order the Bee’s Knees, a concoction of Bombay gin, lemon juice and honey ($16); followed by the classic Singapore Sling ($16).
