German architect Detlef Dirksen used the island's granite rock formations to create this day spa. Giant boulders, steam caves, rock pools and waterfalls don't just provide natural therapy methods, but also the canvas for a series of treatment rooms, offering Thai, oil and stone massage. It's all a world away from Samui's fast-paced beach scene, tucked amid the forest and looking out on incredible views.
