The former Supreme Court Building and Prime Minister's Office are now the new National Gallery Singapore, with a collection that features the pioneer artists of Singapore, including work from Cheong Soo Pieng, Chua Mia Tee and Georgette Chen. With more than 8,000 pieces on display, the museum has two permanent galleries-- DBS Singapore Gallery, UOB Southeast Asia Gallery--as well as the Keppel Centre for Art Education.

More than just an arts venue, the musuem is also home to some exciting new F&B openings. In the Supreme Court wing is the fine dining opening of the year, modern French restaurant Odette by Julien Royer. For something a little Singaporean, try National Kitchen the new outpost by Violet Oon, serving cocktails and light bites like mini chili crab claws and vegetable stir-fry in lettuce leaves. With lovely views of the Padang are Italian restaurant and bar Aura and cocktail bar Smoke & Mirrors, the upstairs bar of modern Cantonese restaurant Yan
