Topgolf

Tee off at one or all of the five restaurants-slash-bars before taking to the driving range.
The buzz: The first Topgolf to open in Southeast Asia is found in Samut Prakan, just 30 minutes from downtown Sukhumvit. It comes with five restaurants-slash-bars, 102 hitting bays, 18-hole mini-golf putt course, and a golf academy taught by certified trainers set on the 29 rai compound.

The vibe: Whether you’re a regular golfer or not, you can have fun here. The space encourages patrons to take golf a little less seriously. There is also plenty of food and booze, including a rooftop bar, Pink Giraffe. So, even if you’ve never golfed before, you can still enjoy a little drink out in the sun as you putt your way through the 18-hole mini golf course (B350 per person per game).

The food and the drinks: What really sets Topgolf apart from other golf driving ranges is the amount of food and drinks available. Topgolf Sport Bar comes with a 7x4-meter 4K TV on top of 15 other TVs and G&Ts start at B380. Pink Giraffe on the roof opens from 5pm, perfect to catch the sunset over their 205-yard driving range, serving Cali-Japanese food. The Devil’s Lounge on the same floor as the hitting bays (B850-1,450 per hour per bay, up to six people per bay) is where you can choose from over 60 wines and whiskey (starting at B1,400 for a bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, B850 for a Singha beer tower). There’s also Patio, an all-day casual dining experience, and Busted, the food truck with a kitchen transformed from an actual bus serving Thai-American comfort food from angry chicken waffles with spicy honey sauce (B290) to spring rolls (B180) and a seafood tray (B990, serves 2-3 people).

Why we’d come back: The golfing culture in Thailand is very often tied with luxury attitudes for the elite lifestyle, but Topgolf offers a whole new experience with their casual approach, and all the food and drinks you can’t try in just one visit.
