A speakeasy-themed bar from the team behind Salt.
It was only a matter of time. The speakeasy lounge trend has finally made its way from Thonglor and Silom to Ari with this latest addition to five-year-old neighborhood favorite Salt.
Located on the restaurant's second floor, Eleven Twelfth pulls off that intimate, party-among-friends feeling thanks to casually placed lounge furniture, a barman within earshot of the tables, and an impromptu band setup.
The upstairs menu is also completely different from Salt's, comprising 10 bite-size tapas options like spinach quesadilla, salmon kebab, bagna cauda with crudites (anchovy dip served with fresh vegetables) and aromatic duck spring rolls.
The drinks list is dominated by whiskey and single malt, including five signature cocktails created by Niks Anuman-Rajadhon (of Teens of Thailand, owner of Drink Academy). Try the sweet and creamy Peruvian Pandan (B300), a Peruvian Pisco-based drink mixed with homemade ginger pandan syrup, citrus and ground peppercorn. Another must-try, Oh Dear Bourbon (B300), features a base of tea-infused bourbon with apricot preserve, sugar and citrus topped with solar-dried banana. You can also enjoy Cuban cigars from Pacific Cigar.
Do note that the bar is only open two days a week, Thu-Fri from 8pm-late. You can expect vinyl sets from familiar DJs like YP Chakree, who’s serving up jazz, soul and funk, while Friday is all about live jazz in its various forms. The capacity is only around 30 people, so reservations are highly recommended.
