BANGKOK BAR

Craft (Silom)

The craft beer pop-up lands in a second permanent location.

Less than a year after arriving as a supposed "pop-up" bar on Sukhumvit Soi 23, craft beer joint Craft has landed in a second, permanent location.

Opened just last night (Jun 8), Craft Silom offers some 20 craft beers on tap--an even longer list than the original venue. The beers come from all of Bangkok's major suppliers, like Beervana, Hopsession, Mikkeller, Evil Twin and Brewdog, and include names like Rogue Dead Guy Ale (B220/320 per half-pint/pint), Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA (B250/350) and Two Tales Black Ale Draught (B310410).

Joining the Silom branch of whiskey and cigar bar Whisgars, which is also owned by the Hathor Invesment Group, the new spot also offers a food menu as well as some takeaway beers.

In more Whisgars news, the bar just unveiled a new speakeasy-style cocktail bar dubbed Belle's Room. Access is hidden behind the wooden wall of the main room with a little walkway leading you to a sizable Victorian-inspired bar. Here, you can expect tailor-made cocktails: pick your base spirit (mostly supplied by William Grant & Son, like Hendrick's gin, Sailor Jerry rum and Monkey Shoulder whiskey) and let the barman work his magic.
