The debonair clinetele of Anantara Siam's Character cigar lounge now have a new haunt in which to smoke, drink and be merry. This second branch of the notoriously exclusive lounge comes with a view from the 32nd floor of Compass SkyView Hotel, Sukhumvit Soi 24.

The new bar maintains the hallmarks of the old (charm, class, and coziness) while introducing a Latin slickness appropriate for its seat beside the Cuban-themed Mojjo rooftop bar. Find yourself a chair (again, leather) among Bangkok’s elite, and settle in for a quiet evening above the Sukhumvit bustle.

Also true to the original is the focus of the drinks menu: whiskey. The exclusive single malts on offer here fill an entire bar shelf. If whiskey isn’t your thing, there’s also a reasonable selection of fine spirits on offer. Prices range from B300 to B3,000 for a glass, and, for a bottle, from B3,500 to a staggering B100,000.

The walk-in humidor boasts a selection of over 100 premium handmade cigars imported from the usual suspects of Nicaragua, Cuba, Brazil and Colombia. A smoke will cost a pretty penny (be prepared to pay up to B1,850) but is sure to please the cigar enthusiasts out there.
