The deal: As if being open till the wee hours wasn’t enough, the workaholics at Fordham & Grand have decided to start serving lunch (Tue-Fri, 11:30am-2pm). The format is pretty standard; pick a starter, a main and a dessert for $35. Lots of veggie and pescie options here—the asparagus and linguini are particularly delish—but meat eaters can and should go for steak and fries. For dessert, we had a dreamy kulfi-like pistachio creamsicle covered in white chocolate, chopped apricot and edible blossoms—like a grown-up Magnum. Thankfully, you won’t find gastrobatics here, just a really satisfying meal.
Why it’s worth it: What’s not to love about having lunch in a speakeasy? Perfect for lunch dates, sneaking a midday drink, avoiding people and hangover days.
