It’s Pancake, your favorite dek inter. This week I got to be editor of our school paper, The Panata International School Supplement (PISS). It was, like, totally awesome. People think all we kidz do is, like, download stickers on the new Facebook app, but no. We totally care about #society.
We talked about super serious stuff, like the fact that gays in France, they can now get married. We were thinking of doing a story on that. Like, in Thailand, which gays would we like to see get married. And so we’re going to cover all the best gay couples on YouTube! We’re even going to get to meet bell25325nongphai! I am so totally psyched. Ki-yo-mi! Ki-yo-mi!
Then we were like, OMG, this whole Makkasan thing, people really want to turn that old junkyard into Central Park? But, helloooo, it’s super hot in BKK. Nobody wants a stupid park!! So we thought, if this place is really worth, like, 200 bazillion baht, how about we just like sell it and use the money to send everyone to Japan for sakura season? So we’re doing a story on that too. A bazillion baht can go a really long way in Ginza if you know the right Michelin restaurants!
And then our paper is doing economics news too! The baht is like super totally strong forcing our dads to lay off some of the peeps who were making stuff in their stinky factories, which sucks for them but maybe they can do more useful things, like become social media marketing managers.
Anyhoo, we’re going to cover the mega baht, too, because that’s all the other real newspapers can talk about. Except we think it is AWESOMEEEE! Have you seen how everything is super cheap in the USA now? So we’ve got a story on what to ask your aunt to bring back from her next trip to America. Top of our list, of course, is American Apparel hot pants in red lame—OMG SO WANT. But like HELLO AMERICAN APPAREL, we’re not like the third world here. That’s Cambodia! Why don’t you have a store in BKK? Seriously, we’re starting a page to get them to come here and you better sign our petition and show you care, or don’t come crying when people accuse us young people of not fighting for a better #society and all.
