You know, I totally support Mark, have the FB badge, the works, but I’m so having a hard time understanding the whole Pracha Wiwat thing—it’s not just because my Thai sucks (hey, my nanny was Filipino, OK)—it’s because I’m just not poor enough.I’m like totally trying to feel the pain. I even left my driver at home all week. And, OK, it must really really suck to be a taxi driver. Like when you pick up my crew at RCA and they throw up in your cab before passing out. You take them back to their mansions in Thong Lor and, when the parents drag them out, they give YOU the evil eye. As if you’d got them drunk or something. (And parents just don’t tip, either.) So yeah, love the new plan: throw all teenagers in jail past 10pm then we’ll throw up on our parent’s couches right!But even if being a cab driver sucks I’m still not sure these are like THE BIGGEST PROBLEMS IN THAILAND right now. What about teachers dying in the South everyday. I mean, I hate my Math teacher a lot, but still, you guys! Or the fact that if you’re in a wheel chair you can’t get around Bangkok and no one will give you a job, unless your idea of a job is selling lottery tickets on the streets. Or the fact that if you get cancer in this country, you’re pretty much dead because, hey, it’s cheaper than paying for chemo.I also totally know this was all the crap our Prime Minister said he’d solve two years ago. I guess he gave up because now he’s down to doing the Thaksin handout thing. Maybe it’s all OUR fault for not caring... Anyway, my brain hurts a little now so I am going to Chatuchak to buy a rabbit with a waistcoat before they all get given to poor people for food or sold to Chinese aunties.xoxoxoxPancake, 15, international school correspondent
