Maduro Barber
A retro barbershop run by an Australian with more than 12 years’ experience with the scissors
Just a few hundred metres from Seacon Square, at the vintage-style Talad Rod Fai, you'll find Maduro Barbershop, run by Allan Nonnenmacher, an Australian barber with more than 15 years' experience with the scissors.
Inside his tiny two-seat venue decorated with 1950s pompadour pin-ups and vintage barber chairs, he offers his own signature style haircut which includes a hot towel to the neck, some warm Italian shaving lather and straight-blade finish at no extra cost (B300).
Aside from the two water-based pomades on sale (Steadfast B650 and Layrite B720) and beard trims (B100), Allan also offers private barber training where you can learn the perfect pompadour or how to give a clean skinfade.
From Monday to Wednesdy the store is open by appointment only and from Thursday to Sunday walk-ins are accepted running in line with the hours of the market (5pm-midnight).
