Off-White (The Emquartier)
The cult label’s shiny new concept store arrives in Bangkok.
Off-White, the high-end Italian streetwear label founded by American designer Virgil Abloh, has unveiled a new concept store at The EmQuartier, and it’s stunning.
Floor-to-ceiling curved wood slats and bush-hammered marble counters ensure that every inch of the store’s decor oozes modern luxury. The 174-sq-meter space is dominated by warm lighting and natural tones, while all of the furniture is imported from Italy. Lush velvet carpets and “cheese” hole cut outs from the label’s Spring/Summer 2020 women’s collection complete the unique design.
Besides this, Off-White’s Pre-Fall 2020 men’s collection is currently on display: sleek leather “Jitney” handbags with metallic silver arrows, and shelves dedicated to sneakers. The Off-White x Nike Waffle Racer in the Vivid Sky colorway is definitely a must-have, if you’ve got the scratch: prices here range from the acceptable (around B8,000 for a pair of sneakers) to the absurd (north of B60,000 for a men’s blazer).
Off-White is a high-end Italian streetwear label founded in Milan in 2012 by Abloh, a Ghanaian-American creative designer. The brand specializes in men’s and women’s clothing, with designs ranging from graphic T-shirts and hoodies to sandals and other accessories featuring Off-White’s trademark bold stripes.
