Lashes
The buzz: Located on the ground floor of the Silom Complex Shopping Center, this new multi-brand cosmetics store features a wide range of imported products from various brands, most of which can’t be found elsewhere in Bangkok.
The goods: Amid a very simple décor (think a black and pink version of Boots), products are divided into four categories—skin, lips, eyes and face—displayed on shelves on both sides, while makeup equipment and nail polish sits in the middle of the shop. The brands in stock are the type normally recommended by well-known makeup artists like Peary Pie and Momay Paplern, including Lime Crime lips color (B790), American Apparel nail polish (B385), Kiss Me primer (B790), concealer from Essence (B120) and the famous brush set from Sigma (B3,950). Another recommendation is the mineral water spray and mask from Korean brand Chojung (B480/135), which they claim has never been available outside Korea before. They also stock brands well known to Bangkokians like Etude and Maybelline but offer harder-to-find selections.
Why you’ll be back: If you’re the type who likes to follow makeup tutorial clips by Thai and international makeup artists, you will have definitely heard of these brands, which until now you had to either order online or ask your airhostess friends to buy for you. Thankfully, Lashes means this is no longer the case.
