BKK Sun Tanning Salon
Bangkok’s whitening fad has new competition from the city’s first tanning salon.
Is Bangkok’s whitening fad starting to wear off? The city's first tanning salon, BKK Sun, offers sun-deprived city dwellers that instant surfer glow, whether from sun beds or spray-on booths imported from the US.
You have three options here: the lay-down Ovation 3400 sunbed, the stand-up Sundazzler booth for more even results (B299-799), and sunless spray tanning (B1,500-2,500) for a look that will last only 5-7 days.
Skin testing is required before using the machine to determine the recommended duration of use (average 4-6 minutes, maximum 10 minutes), and it takes up to 3-4 times to see outstanding results. You should take at least two days break between sessions.
The salon also has a line of skincare products including Australian Gold and Liquid Assets lotion (B700-3500) with more on the way.
