Bangkok City Diner
Bangkok’s vegan scene gets a shot in the arm with this comfort food-focused diner.
Founded by husband and wife duo Mika Apichatsakol and Gareth Sheehan—both longtime adherents of plant-based diets—Bangkok City Diner serves vegan comfort food in the shadows of BTS Chong Nonsi. Inside a cool blue-and-purple, American diner-like space, the couple currently serves globe-spanning, plant-based mains, sides and sweets, like tom yum mac and cheese (tom yum-flavored vegan macaroni and cheese topped with cilantro, B180); spicy, Malay-style laksa (B220); homemade lasagne (Italian pasta with slow-cooked vegan ragu and homemade vegan mozzarella, B240); and vegan tiramisu (B160) for takeout and delivery.
Starting in the middle of June, the diner will open for dine-in. For the time being, you can place orders via Lineman (@bangkokcitydiner), as well as Facebook, Instagram, and Line, between 5-10pm each day. Stay tuned for updates.
