Bangkok is finishing off the year with some real treats for the bar flies and the club kids. The last month has seen some big reopenings, New York-themed clubs, and new drinking dens from some of the hottest teams in F&B. If this is where nightlife is heading in 2024, we’re all for it.

Find the Photo Booth

Find the Locker Room has opened in Bantadthong for a relaunch of its sibling bar, Find the Photo Booth. The all-star founders of this comeback are Colin Chia from Singapore's Nutmeg & Clove, Hidetsugu Ueno from Tokyo's Bar High Five, Nick Wu from Taipei's Bar Mood, and Ronnaporn Kanivichaporn and Chennarong Bhumichitr from Bangkok's Mahaniyom Cocktail Bar, winner of Best Cocktail Menu, Best Cocktail Bar, and Best New Bar at the 2023 BAD Awards. You're supposed to have problems finding the place, so look around for a stylish shophouse with minty green walls and picture booths for before-and-after selfies.

“We want customers to read the menu like a music sheet,” says group creative and program director Rojanat “Ping” Chareonsri.

The menu is in a CD case and features traditional drinks with updated signatures on the B-side from A to G chords. Musical chords beneath drink names reveal their character, making them a handy cheat sheet.

1/F, Bantadthong Road, 080-078-9265, Open Wed-Sun 7pm-2am.

Platform Thonglor

Platform Thonglor, found in the center of Thonglor on Soi Sukhumvit 55, merges old-world charm with modern features to suit its locomotive-themed decor. Here, old-school fixtures give off retro vibes with strobe lighting along the ceilings, circular leather-upholstered sofas, and neon blue lighting. Train-themed spots are all the rage, with the likes of Q&A in Asoke and Echelon opened earlier this year. For drinks, their cocktail menu is inspired by the 1930s with a dash of Platform 9¾ (a nod to Harry Potter), boasting eight signature cocktails (all B390) along with the classics. There’s also premium champagne, such as Armand de Brignac and Dom Perignon, as well as top-shelf liquors that are available in various sizes. Passengers at the Platform Thonglor will find DJs rotating through the venue, including hip-hop, techno house, and R&B. Ladies' Night will be held every Tuesday before 11pm.

4th Wall

The 4th Wall is a new neighborhood bar in Langsuan from one of the hottest bar names in Bangkok. The crew behind Vesper, a trailblazer on the city’s cocktail scene since 2014, has opened 4th Wall for a  sophisticated twist to classic cocktails with finely crafted drinks and an ever-changing menu. 4th Wall strives to break the proverbial fourth wall between performer and the audience. This new spot lives up to its name by serving classic cocktails to guests with Vesper’s unpretentious hospitality in a welcoming setting, blurring the line between bartenders and guests. They'll be concoctions like the Corpse Reviver No. 2 with gin, French vermouth, lemon, and triple sec; the Adonis with amontillado sherry, manzanilla sherry, and sweet vermouth; and the classic Pina Colada featuring dark rum, fresh pineapple, lime, and coconut cream. The interior of 4th Wall was inspired by 1960s European film and its modernist depiction of what the future would look like.
