On Nov 15, new sky-high Thai restaurant TAAN executive chef Monthep “Thep” Kamolsilp welcomes Chalermpon “Van” Rohitratana (of Rarb, Dag) and Phanuphon “Black” Bulsuwan (of Chiang Mai’s Blackitch Artisan Kitchen) to create a special nine-course menu using wild plants and organic produce harvested from three different forests around the country (including King Rama 9’s Royal Rainmaking Project). Beamfest

Beam’s music festival is back for its second year on Nov 16-18, bringing genre-hopping headliners, from British deep house DJ Hot Since 82 and French electro-house DJ and producer Busy P, to Atlanta's hot up-and-coming rapper MadeinTYO, as well as many familiar Bangkok names. There will also be a molam stage by Studio Lam, an Auntys Haus pop-up streetwear stall featuring merch collaborations between Beamfest and Street X, and Mediterranean food from Appia (Nov 16), Vietnamese by Myanmar-based Rau Ram (Nov 17), and BBQ from Meat & Bones (Nov 18).

Cross-Concept Pop-Up Series

Siam Paragon is teaming up with Gastronauts Asia for a series of kitchen takeover events featuring highly regarded chefs from abroad. For the first event, the Christian and Manuel Costardi, owners of the Michelin-starred Hotel Cinzia in Vercelli, Italy, and founders of the Ambassadors of Taste organization, will take over Amici for lunch and dinner on Nov 16-17 (B3,000 or B3,500, add B1,200 for wine pairing). In addition, pastry chef Fabrizio Fiorani, of Tokyo’s Bulgari Il Ristorante Luca Fantin in Tokyo (No.28 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list), will conduct a chocolate masterclass with afternoon tea (B900) and dessert dinner (B1,900) on Nov 23-24 at Laduree.

This Nov 16-17, The Westin Grande Sukhumvit is teaming up with Oskar Bistro to combine legendary pool party and French comfort food. In collaboration with the Thailand Equestrian Federation and Made By Legacy, The Flea Market at Princess’s Cup Thailand 2018 will have an open-air market taking place at The Royal Horse Guard, Sanam Pao. The market will run from 1pm to midnight. There’ll be a huge selection of eateries (from food trucks to street vendors) offering plate you could take in the fields for a nice picnic out; all the while, get accompanied by live music and hosting DJ playing ‘til late at night.
