Barrio Bonito’s Guacamole (B220)

Koh Chang’s number one restaurant on Tripadvisor branched out to Bangkok when the Commons opened. Honestly, all the traditional Mexican flavors here sing, but we especially like owner-chef Mariana Villalobos Torres’s take on guacamole, served in crispy corn tortilla cones.

Jona Waffles’ Plain Waffle (B120)

Le Cordon Bleu grad Songpon Wongpaisan specializes in overnight yeast-raised waffles. The result: a crispier crust, lighter interior, and little trace of yeasty flavor. There’s a heap of different toppings you can add to the B120 base price, but the plain waffle tastes good enough on its own.

Holy Moly’s Camembert with Salted Caramel Pie (B155)

The super-thin and crispy puff pastry is made using the best French flour and butter chef Chalee Kader can get his hands on, and gets baked on-site all day long. For something totally unique, you have to try the decadent camembert with salted caramel pie—an explosion of sweet and salty flavors. We also love the Iberico pork char siu (B135), portobello mushroom with parmesan and truffle (B155), and beef stew and egg (B155) flavors.

Lady Brett’s Chicken Burger (B320)

For something crunchy and hearty, look no further than the monstrous buttermilk fried chicken sandwich (B320) at Lady Brett’s new Thonglor outpost, which features light and crispy chicken, lettuce, spicy sauce and pickles.

Lady Brett’s Diamond Clams (B500)

Stock up on a side order of Conkey’s bread and dunk your way to indigestion in this bowl of decadent, buttery broth bursting with seafood goodness. We could eat the sweet, plump little clams all day long, too.

Meat & Bones’ Beef Rib (B480)

The roasting time may have dropped from twelve to eight hours, but M&B’s rib smothered in their own-recipe sauce still features tender beef that falls from the bone and is packed with smoky flavor.

Soul Food 555’s Khao Soi Cowboy Burger (B259)

The most rewarding of this Soul Food spin-off’s three new Thai fusion burgers. Served with sweet potato and mustard pickles, the pulled pork in khao soy curry is ferociously fiery with a satisfying crunch owing to its crispy egg noodles.

Patisserie Potager’s Capsicum Cheese Cake (B165)

This new Japanese dessert cafe has come up with the genius solution of packing cheesecake full of veggie vitamins. Skip the cauliflower tiramisu and ivy gourd and tomato shortcake and head straight for the capsicum cheesecake—a one-of-a-kind combination which tastes delicious.

Hamakatsu’s Cheese, Pork Loin and Pork Fillet Set (B395)

This whopping set also comes with a deep-fried prawn. The golden cutlets are almost free from oil with genuinely tender pork housed in perfectly crisp breading.

The Janagara Zenburi Black Ramen at Kyushu Jangara (B360)

At B360, it’s a pretty pricey bowl of noodles, but those wobbling lumps of fatty meat make all the difference compared to your standard slithers of chashu. While the original stock is smooth and richly flavored, we also favor the garlicky black ramen, whose intimidating, heavy appearance disguises a flavor that’s actually quite refined, with unusual tastes of aniseed and chamomile poking through the salty broth.

Rocket X 72 Courtyard’s Salmon x Eggs Bagel (B175)

The fourth branch of the chic Scandinavian brunch and coffee spot Rocket comes in the form of a quick “grab and go” pit-stop at Thonglor’s 72 Courtyard community mall. Made fresh daily, the newly-launched bagel features a nice crispy crust and a slightly chewy interior, packed with house-cured salmon, scrambled eggs, spring and sour cream for a flavorful combo that sticks to Rocket’s strengths.

Brew, Beers & Ciders’ Simply the Best Burgers (B190-290)

This Daniel Thaiger collaboration goes back to basics, aiming to recapture all that was good about old-school American fast food. The patties are made from prime cuts of Aussie wagyu and angus beef, nestled between local breadmaker Conkey’s steamed potato bun, which holds up admirably to the winning combo of gooey Cheswick cheese and garlicky Thousand Islands-like sauce. Available as double, triple and quad stacks in classic (B190/240/280) and BBQ (which adds bacon, jalapenos and a tangy BBQ sauce, B200/250/290) forms.
