The redesigned Tamarina Bistro & Bar (goo.gl/9eBIl9) is northern Samui’s latest drinking and dining hot spot.
 
Run by the group of friends behind Bangkok’s longstanding Pola Pola Restaurant & Bar, the venue’s chic modern tropical interior comes from Thinkk Studio who contributed all the chairs, tables and lamps.
 
The old menu has been spruced up with Thai fusion and Italian seafood dishes along with classics including hor mok kanomkrok (fish curry cake, B380) and gai hor bai toey (fried chicken in pandanus leaves, B280).
 
Get there early to claim one of the daybeds on the wooden terrace for sunset over the sea with a Tamarina mojito (B260) in hand.
