The annual Laguna Phuket International Marathon (02-236-2931/-2, www.phuketmarathon.com) returns next week, on Jun 10. First held in 2006, the run has attracted more and more participants each year, with almost 4,000 runners taking part in 2011. Registration is B3,400 for the full marathon, B3,000 for the half marathon, B2,750 for the 10.5-km run and B2,450 for the 5-km run. Some of the more advanced competitors will be using the event as a warm-up for the challenger Laguna Phuket Triathlon set for November.
