For three years, Kin Lum Kin Dee has been impressing Chiang Mai locals with its no-frills take on Lanna cuisine from its home on Nimmanhaemin Soi 11.

Now, though, they've moved to a new space on nearby Nimmanhaemin Soi 9 (right across from Akyra boutique hotel) that boasts a colorful, industrial style with walls covered in murals telling stories of how the restaurant came to be.

Despite the eatery’s modish vibe, the food sticks to authentic takes on bold Northern cuisine: think addictive poo ong (a mash of grilled rice-field crabs’ eggs and chicken egg, B65) and gaeng hang lay (spicy pork belly curry, B130) that’s sensational when spooned over steaming hot rice.

Besides these signature mainstays, they're introducing a new special menu dedicated to ingredients in season—all the more reason for revisits. Delivery is also available.
