Could this be the world’s most luxurious drive-thru?
Move aside, McDonald’s.
The Michelin-starred street food stall went upscale serving Chinese fare with an affordable price. Menu highlights include the roasted pork (B580/500g) with salty crisp skin and mellow fat, egg noodle with pork ribs (B130), and wonton soup (B130). Don’t forget to order the Hong Kong-style roasted chicken which—aside from being plump yet firm with a satisfyingly slippery skin—is currently on promotional price at B270 instead of B330.

Let’s be a little more creative with this pizza chain offering South Korean-style pizza that contains thick-yet-crispy crust and toppings that taste milder than what you ate at Italian pizzeria. From now until May31, the restaurant offers the buy-one-get-one promotions for any pizzas including the highlight bulgogi pizza (B349 for regular and B459 for large), and crab party (B419 for regular and B529 for large) comes with salsa sauce, mushroom, mozzarella, sweet pepper, crab meats, and crab sticks.

Limoncello is not just good at making authentic pizzas like the glorious ai quattro formaggi (mozzarella, scamorza, gorgonzola and parmesan cheese, B390) but also presides over pasta dishes with authentic taste. Opt for tagliolini con salsiccia e Funghi (B390) which is a firm-texture homemade angel hair pasta with Italian sausage and mushroom, or ravioli di magro burro e salvia (B450)—ravioli filled with spinach and Ricotta cheese serves in butter sage sauce.

In the world of Silom street food, Fat Bro (AKA "Mr. Fat"—see BK’s video on him here) is legendary for one thing only: moo ping (delicious marinated pork skewers). For over 30 years, Fat Bro’s stall would garner lines around the corner of Silom and convent late into the night. Opening at 11pm, he would sell over 2,000 skewers within just three hours. His secret? Tender cuts of pork thigh left to bathe overnight in his secret marinade, before being charcoal-grilled on intense flames, leaving a crispy exterior and supple, juicy meat. On top of all that magic, he adds his signature, tamarind-laced spicy naam jim jaew dipping sauce.
Today, Mr. Fat’s moo ping has been rebranded and expanded to Thonglor under the name FATBRO®. The quality has been upgraded—the pork, sourced only from Betagro®, is all organic with no growth hormones, antibiotic residue, or pesticides—but he still delivers the same authentic flavors. Situated at The Fox Thonglor, FATBRO® serves those fiery, succulent pork skewers all day from 7am-11pm daily (9am-8pm during the current Covid-19 curfew).
Delivery is also available through platforms such as Lineman, Foodpanda, Get, and Grabfood.
Enjoy some of those mouth-watering pork skewers (B15 each) with sticky rice (B5), or try some of the new set menus, like five skewers with sticky rice and a soft drink (B85) and grilled pork on top of Japanese rice served with the signature dipping sauce and a soft drink (B75 for small/B99 for medium/B149 for large). You can even order huge bulk bags for parties or uncooked skewers to barbecue yourself at home.
Visit www.fatbro.net or www.facebook.com/fatbrobkk to see the menu and for more information.
Indus (a Top Tables “official selection” for many years running) has rolled out a huge delivery and takeaway overhaul. You can now order from a slate of new set-menus (from B970 to B2,590), a la carte dishes, and homemade teas delivered to your door by pretty much any means you want.
The service is available on all major platforms (Grab, Food Panda, Lineman and Get!), but if you book a food order directly through Indus (orderindusbangkok.com, LINE @indus, or telephone) you get an automatic 15-percent off a la carte orders until the end of May. Delivery within 5km is free (orders of B800 and above).
There’s also some other special treats on offer, like Ayurvedic Immunity Tea (a blend of ginger, basil, honey and three essential herbs), Lucknowi-style Dum Biryani delivered in clay pots, and some drink packages including "masala nuts" to enjoy with your cocktails.
The restaurant is also now reopened for dine-in customers, and those orders also include a 15-percent discount until the end of May (a la carte menu only). There is a large outdoor seating area, and all tables are spread at least 1.5 meters apart. There are several more safety measures as well, like 70-percent alcohol gel provided at all tables, QR-code payments instead of using credit cards or cash, and the venue is not placing crockery, cutlery or glassware on the table in advance. Everything in the venue, from tabletops to menus, is sanitized between every use. All kitchen staff wear gloves, face masks and sanitize their hands at least once per hour – they also undergo temperature checks before starting work. For that matter, anyone entering the restaurant, including customers, gets a temperature check. The restaurant is also temporarily suspending valet services, but will have a valet attendant to help folks find parking spaces.
Indus is also donating food to unemployed people throughout May, so you can feel great about supporting a restaurant that is helping people.
