The online bouquet service Plant House has expanded into a proper shop that's one of the most charming florists in town. This little yellow glass-house boutique is bursting with flowers and accessories starting from B1,500 for a small bouquet. Pick between bunch, arrangement or flower crown followed by your preferred color theme—pastel Day Dream, hot-tone Sunrise, safari-like Desert Dreams or any other selection from their combination chart. Delivery is also available with an additional charge starting from B100 per order. We promise she won't be disappointed.

Another Story

The multi-label design store on EmQuartier's 4/F is chock-full of perfect gift ideas. Looking for some delectable and delicately presented chocs? It's home to the only Hugo & Victor kiosk in town, where you'll find the half-sphere chocolate bonbons of chef Hugues Pouget (a former executive pastry chef at the three-Michelin-star restaurant Guy Savoy), presented in stylish, black hardcover notebook boxes and packed with luscious fillings like lime, orange and caramel. Prices start at B800. For something more lasting, check out other stylish treasures like British designer Tom Dixon's elegant scented candles.

Cult labels and the very best local brands take center-stage in this ultra-chic new multi-label store. It's specialty is women's clothing—from sporty looks and monochrome workwear to glamorous party styles—but guys will find some cool accessories too. Local labels to look out for include Pin & Tux, Ensemble, Anaman and Coralist swimwear. You'll have to go and see what's in store with your own eyes, but know that prices are surprisingly affordable, starting from around B1,000.

Smitheries

If your partner's the crafty type, check out the jewelry courses at Smitheries, which are run by jewelry designers Chaiwat Wattanaukit and Piyamas Muenprasartdee, the stylish bassist from the band Yellow Fang.  Together, they go through the A-Z on how to make signature pieces in just a few hours. Classes vary from resin- and silicone-making to wax carving and jewelry coloring. We recommend the basic one-day course that goes for five hours and starts at B3,500 per person, including 15g of silver and all utensils needed.

Quartier en Rose

Anyone out shopping for Valentine's gifts this weekend can't miss this huge couples' market at Emquartier. Decorated in over 1,500 shrub roses, the Quartier Avenue plays host to a range of shopping booths as well as gourmet couples' experiences.

At the Sweet Bazaar, you'll be spoiled for choice with 20 booths selling all kinds of delicious treats. For something truly special, don't miss the Chocolab by Sofitel So's Long Stem Chocolate Rose, on which each petal is made with fine chocolate from France, put together one by one by the hands of an expert chocolatier.

Or if you're planning a day out together, you'll also find plenty of couples' activities, from workshops teaching you how to make your own decorative sweets, to a whole range of gourmet experiences.
