Tomorrow (Jul 28) from noon, we'll be live streaming American celebrity chef Richard Blais (Top Chef All-Stars winner, Iron Chef America judge and Food Network host) when he stops by Bangkok to cook with one of our favorite local chefs, Thitid Tassanakajohn (of Le Du, Baa Ga Din and Baan), at Baa Ga Din.

The two Culinary Institute of America (CIA) graduates will showcase USDA ingredients as part of the annual US-Thai culinary envoy program. Each chef however will be embracing their own style of cooking.

Expect modern Thai takes on the ingredients from chef Ton, such as seared scallop with massaman sauce and Angus beef tartare with candied betel leaf and tamarind gel.

On Blais’s side, there'll be a playful take on beef fillet served with "Thai-bouleh" (that's a Thai-style tabouleh) and oysters and pearls.

Our live stream at www.facebook.com/bkmagazine comes ahead of tomorrow night's service at Baa Ga Din (26 Sukhumvit Soi 31), when both chefs will be in the kitchen cooking their dishes.

If you don't have time to make it there tomorrow, the special USDA dishes will also be on the menu at Baa Ga Din from Aug 5-12.

You can make your reservations on 02-662-3813 or email info@baagadin.com.
