For those in Bangkok wishing to say goodbye to the late, great French chef Joel Robuchon, a service will be held this Friday, Aug 17, 9am, at the Holy Redeemer Church on Wittayu Road.

The service will be hosted by Olivier Limousin, executive chef of L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon in Bangkok, on behalf of the Robuchon family.

Born on April 7, 1946, Joel Robuchon went on to become one of the world’s greatest chefs before dying to cancer on Aug 6, 2018. His eponymous chain of restaurants continues to hold more Michelin stars than any other group of restaurants.

In 2014, Bangkok was lucky enough to finally get its own Robuchon place, L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon Bangkok, helmed by Limousin, which gave us a taste of the man’s exceptionally high and consistent standards for French cooking.

The church service will be held at 9am and is open to the public.
