Biscotti (Anantara Siam)

For years, Biscotti has reigned supreme as one of Bangkok’s most popular Italian dining destinations. Thanks to its great service, comforting-yet-tasteful decor and well-rounded menu, this Anantara Siam stalwart remains the go-to choice for executive lunches and It-crowd dinners. Pizzas, pastas (made in-house) and mains change frequently, ensuring that the menu never gets stale.

Giorgio's (Royal Orchid Sheraton)

Good Italian with a great view of the Chao Praya is something on standard offer at the Royal Orchid Sheraton’s flagship southern Mediterranean restaurant, Giorgio’s. This eatery effortlessly manages to pull off a simplified, contemporary chic that is welcoming to young adults as well as families. The alfresco area, though a bit risky for dining during the rainy season, is nonetheless inviting. For mains, the stew veal shank ossobuco is a great choice, as is the beef fillet with spinach. Pastas and pizzas are all made traditional, “homestyle,” and are sure to please.

Scalini (Hilton Sukhumvit)

Scalini appeals to diners looking for a moidern, interractive approach to Italian dining. Headed by Chef Egidio Latorraca, who has over 15 years’ experience from stints in Australia, Europe and Macau, Scalini dishes out specialties like slow poached Hokkaido scallops, avocado guacamole, organic tomatoes, cherry vinaigrette and fresh basil in a setting that recalls the prohibition era of 1920s America.

Rossini's (Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit)

This flagship restaurant of the Sheraton Grande is a classic Italian fine-dining experience. The decor is unabashadely themed to ressemble a Tuscan villa complete with a gigantic fireplace, wood-beamed ceiling and large frescos of patrician families. Beyond antipasti and pasta, executive chef Luca Cesarini whips up recipes such as San Daniele ham-wrapped black cod with potato fondue and Taggiasche olives, alongside classics like asparagus risotto with black truffle. Their wine list is reasonably priced and expertly curated.
