Fancy UK dining chain Burger & Lobster announced at the start of the year that it would be opening in Bangkok in March.

But latest word is we won’t actually be getting our fill of lobsters, lobster rolls and hamburgers until June as they’re still awaiting equipment from London and need to train their staff.

Keep an eye on the ground floor of Ratchaprasong’s high-end mall Gaysorn Plaza.

Those who have visited the UK might be familiar with the brand, known for offering only three items: hamburgers, whole lobsters (poached or baked) and lobster rolls. The affordable prices for quality lobsters also mean regular queues for tables.

Founded in 2011 by Russian owners in Mayfair, London, the chain has now expanded to 20 branches in the UK and internationally, including Dubai, Stockholm, New York and Genting Highlands in Malaysia.

Stay tuned for more. In the meantime, read our taste test to determine who serves Bangkok's best lobster roll
