Err

The chef duo behind Bangkok’s Thai fine dining institution, Bo.lan, have brought their expertise to a new genre of modern, casual Thai cuisine. Their latest project, Err, is set in a retro shop-house just down the street from Wat Pho, where they’ve trained their chefs to whip up rejuvenated versions of Thailand’s best drinking snacks. To go with the Thai cuisine, the drinks list here uses doesn’t just use Thai craft spirits, but also delicious combinations of local fruit for some wonderful non-alcoholic options. For something fresh, don’t miss the simple lemon grass soda (B85), while sweeter options include the fresh fruit blend (watermelon, pineapple and lime, B125) and the signature Err tropical punch, in which apple juice is mixed with orange juice, passionfruit juice and top with ginger ale (B125).

Another Hound Café

Greyhound is one of biggest movers and shakers Thailand’s fashion industry, and also sets the pace for this city’s bistro scene. The relaunched Another Hound Café at The Emporium has moved the brand’s well-loved menu forward with a new collection of even more gourmet pastas, seafood and burgers with alongside Thai dishes and refreshingly fruity cocktails and mocktails. As a special for this April, Another Hound Café has teamed up with high-end sparkling mineral water label Perrier to create three new seasonal drinks inspired by the restaurant’s best-selling desserts. Try the sweet and aromatic Peach Peekaboo, which takes its inspiration from the peach, lemon sorbet, raspberry and orange-based inspired by the dessert called Chum Cham Parfait dessert (pair it with light seafood dishes like the Crab Sandwich and Spicy Andaman Lobster Carpaccio). Strawberry Swing is inspired by the restaurant’s Strawberry Balsamic Meringue, mixing balsamic vinegar with strawberry syrup and fresh strawberries, topped with Perrier (recommended for heavy dishes like Four Corners Cheese Sandwich and Wagyu Burger). The menu’s Mixed Fruit Salad in Orange Granita dessert is reinterpreted as a drink called Som Som, which mixes orange marmalade with pomelo, Sunkist orange zest and orange granite, topped with Perrier—perfect alongside chocolate desserts like the Hazelnut Mud cake.
