Bangkokfile is a brand new "design boutique residence" in Asoke that's set to officially open its doors on May 19

And it will open them in style, with five of Bangkok's coolest bars, galleries and shops—Studio LamSoulbarQ&ACho Why and Machine Age Workshop—joining forces for what they're calling "Bangkoknight"—aka a really jamming house party.

Spread across five of the building's sixth floors, the party promises live music from the likes of Paradise Bangkok Molam Band and Soulbar staple Michael and the Lowdowns, DJs like Maft Sai (Zudrangma Records), Tul and Pump (of Apartmentkhunpa) and many more.

Q&A, who occupy the first floor of the building, will serve a specially-created cocktail for the night, while drinks will also include Studio Lam's potent yadong and Soulbar's range of craft beers. Food for the night will be a preview of set-to-launch barbecue specialist Foo John's ribs and sandwiches.

There will also be art projection mapping from Kob Bored, as well as selected art and lifestyle products for sale like T-shirts, soaps, baskets and beer, all made in Thailand. The party starts from 8pm onwards. Entry is B300.

So, what is Bangkokfile? Aside from Q&A on the first floor, the building is home to the office of Oddyssee fashion brand (2/F), a co-working and pop-up store space (3/F), and a further three floors of hotel/residence (already on Airbnb, with prices from B2,500/night). Stay tuned for updates.
