The International Festival of Dance and Music will bring all sorts of international productions to Bangkok this Sep-Oct. But this same period will see our local stage groups rolling out some of their biggest musicals in years. Siam Sinfonietta’s Reya the Musical (Sep 14-Oct 7) has had tongues wagging for a quite some time already, while Scenario has also announced a production of Miss Saigon (Sep 27-Oct 21) which tells of the tragic love story between a Vietnamese bargirl and an American GI. Meanwhile, Index Creative Production is behind the remake of Mae Bia The Erotic Art Musical (Sep 28-Oct 14), the erotic story of a girl and her mysterious relationship with a cobra.
