Japanese Film Festival to breathe new 'life' into Bangkok this week
From Jan 30-Feb 8, Siam Paragon hosts the annual Japanese Film Festival,which this year screens 15 award-winning films from Japan under the theme “life”.

The festival also runs in Chiang Mai, starting Feb 13 at Central Festival Chiang Mai. Highlights include:
LUPIN THE 3RD
Directed by Kitamura Ryuhei, 2014
Inspired by the phenomenally popular Japanese cartoon first created in the1960s, the film follows the titular character and his band of anti-heroic thieves as they try to steal a powerful ancient relic rumored to grant world domination to whoever holds it.
MY MAN
Directed by Kumakiri Kazuyoshi, 2014
Following the 1993 Hokkaido tsunami, nine-year-old Hana is taken in by one of her relatives, Junko. Deeply shaken by her traumatic experience, Hana swears never to leave Junko’s side. Years later, however, Hana gets married and goes on a honeymoon, only to discover on her return that Junko is missing.
