Bangkok knows Hugo (Juljajak Jakkrapong) from his Brit-rock band Sip-Lor formed in 2001, but now the world knows him from being the first Thai artist to sign with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Records. Old Tyme Religion is the title of his first international album, with songs including Jay-Z’s “99 Problems,” “Bread&Butter” and the Thai song “Sai Lom.” Hugo is set to perform in Bangkok for the first time since his album came out on Apr 4 at Aksra Theatre.
