Does your vegetarian shredded pork dish tastes suspiciously like actually pork? Well, there is a chance that your cognitive dissonance is correct.  On Sep 26, The Food and Drug Administration found certain vegetarian products (the brand isn’t specifically named) manufactured by a food production company in the Chom Thong district that actually contains meat, like the vegetarian surimi dish, which was found to have crustacean and chicken DNA. The culprits could be fined from B5,000-B100,000 and jailed from 6-10 months for deceiving customers.
