1. Art is Sexy

On Saturday Nov 8, Toot Yung Art Center (12/6 Ekkamai Soi 2) opens a new erotica exhibition, Gang Bang, initiated by street artist P7 and featuring edgy interpretations of sex from some of Bangkok’s most prominent illustrators. Opening 7pm, Nov 8.

2. Go Retro

If you can’t make it all the way over to Soi Pradipat 19 this weekend for Cheap and Cheerful Open House Fest #2, get your vintage fix at (Un) Fashion (Ekkamai Soi 10). It’s reasonably priced, too.

3. Coffee Break

Just down the road from (Un) Fashion, Ink & Lion Cafe (1/7 Ekkamai Soi 2) is a great place for a coffee. In addition to the usual slow-drip and pastries, every weekend the café offers a special selection of guest coffee beans from around the world to accompany rotating art exhibitions.

4. Nippon Love

Jealous of all your friends’ Japan holidays? Teppen (14/2 Sukhumvit Soi 61) is one of our favorite izakayas in Bangkok, tucked away just behind Major Sukhumvit by BTS Ekkamai. Don’t get freaked out by the B100 otoshi charge for your appetizers—this is common Japanese practice, and just adds to the authenticity.

5. Saturday Night Live

End your day with some good live music at Wine Bibber Sangria (Ekkamai Soi 2), which has a line-up of regular artists from all music genres. This Saturday’s roster features Big Boy, while the upstairs club stays packed well into the night.
