Supanniga

1. Good Food

There are plenty of awesome delivery services in Bangkok. For breakfast, why not try Paris’s best croissants, courtesy of Maison Chatenet. For lunch, you could go Thai with Supanniga, possibly Bangkok’s best Thai restaurant, whose catering service sticks to the owner’s grandmom’s Northeastern and Eastern recipes. The Aussie-inspired Tinee Eatery is another top option, serving up cuisines ranging from Western, Thai and Indian. See more options here. For some brain food, look no further than the city's healthy pioneers like Paleo Robbie, Eat Clean BKK and Me Juice.

Escape Room

2. Play Time

Nothing like a bit of competition to release stress and get teams to bond more effectively. If the trampolines at Rockin’ Jump sound too extreme, you could try Escape RoomThis venue takes its inspiration from a Japanese online game, where you must work your way out of anything from a haunted hotel room to a Pharoah's tomb or slaughterhouse. You're allowed 2-6 players per game and can ask for a clue twice over the course of your 45-minute game. The six rooms are rated from 3-5 stars in terms of difficulty, and each has a different theme and story. One fun way to get the creative juices flowing is to book a group session at Paintbar, a Sukhumvit Soi 49 venue that combines art and nightlife by running painting classes in a bar-like setting.

3. Proper Coffee

A meeting simply isn’t complete without coffee—so why put up with the tasteless dredge that’s usually on offer? If you want to keep things DIY, see our list of Bangkok’s best coffee roasters to pick up the freshest, most aromatic beans. Better yet, stay on trend with some bottles of cold brew coffee. Rocket, Brave Roasters, Roots—many of the big players are hard at work extracting complex flavors from single-origin beans and special blends, using both conventional and unconventional methods. See our roundup. With advance warning, many of these cafes can also experiment with unique blends and infusions, as well as personalized packaging. Another even more special option is a nitro coffee pop-up from Finca de Barn. Pulled from a tap, it looks and even tastes a bit like a cold beer (don't worry, it's not alcoholic). Nitro is a smooth and creamy coffee seemingly made for Bangkok.

4. Leisure Facilities

If you're asking people to travel out of town for the sake of your conference, make sure there's something in the deal to sweeten the pill. Around Bangkok you'll find plenty of country clubs with wonderful leisure facilities like golf courses and spas, though travel time can make them a tough call for a one-day meeting (see below for a solution to that). Alternatively, think about heading somewhere that caters to the business market for overnigt stays, like Baan Amphawa Resort & Spa, where you'll find affordably overnight business packages in an elegant Thai-style resort that feels miles from the city.

5. Choose Somewhere Easy To Get To

No one wants to spend hours in a minibus getting to a convention center only to turn around and head home that same day. Bangkok's Phothalai Leisure Park is set amid 130,000 sq meters of greenery and open space just a 25-minute drive from Suvarnabhumi International airport and right by the expressway. On top of meeting and multi-function spaces for up to 2,000 people, from ballrooms and boardrooms to waterside event spaces outdoors, you'll also find a golf park staffed by PGA-certified pros and top-class spa facilities to keep your guests entertained throughout the day. Phothalai Leisure Park is easily reached by car. Head to 28 Soi Yothinpattana 3, Praditmanuthum, Klongchan. www.phothalai.com
