Khon Kaen might not be a tourist hotspot outside of Songkran, but its central location and highly-developed infrastructure make it a great hub for travel around the Isaan provinces. Now it’s welcoming the Centara Khon Kaen Hotel & Convention Center (02-101-1234, www.centarahotelsresorts.com) right in the center of town. The soft-opening period offers deals starting from B2,025 for a superior, B2,850 for a deluxe and B4,650 for a junior suite. Rates are applicable until Oct 31.
