After a successful debut run last year, Bangkok Rum Cocktail Week roars back into action this Jul 31- Aug 6

Hosted by bar management company Kin+, the event promises seminars and rum tasting sessions at 25 cocktail bars around the city.

Throughout the week, 34 mixologists from Thailand and around the world will run seminars discussing the origin and production of rum at A Bar, Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, from 1-4pm daily. The seminars—under titles like "Aged Rum," "White Rum," "New Rum in Thai Market" and "Local and Asian Rum"—will feature such international guests as Dinos Constantinides, owner of Lost & Found in Cyprus, named No. 29 in the World Best Bar awards 2017; Philip Bishchoff, bar manager of Manhattan Singapore, named No.1 in Asia’s Best Bars 2017 and No. 7 in World’s 50 Best Bars 2017; and Nico De Soto, of Danico in Paris, one of the top four finalists in the Tales of Cocktails 2017 competition.

Seminars are limited to 50 seats and require prior booking—visit this website or the Bangkok Rum Cocktail week's Facbook page for more information.

These visiting experts will also join familiar faces from many of Bangkok's best cocktail bars in nightly guest shifts taking place at venues including Vogue Lounge, Tropic City, Zuma, Bamboo Bar, Sorrento and Octave.

Tonight (Jul 31), Samuel Kwok, bar manager at Quinary in Hong Kong, will mix and shake Havana Club cocktails at Charoenkrung's Tropic City, alongside a host of other takeovers. Head here to see the full lineup.
