Bangkok just welcomed its first massive bookstore in ages at Central Eastville with the opening of Think Space B2S, which is modeled after Taipei's famed Eslite bookstore and brings other related merchandise and select shops into its 3,000 sq-meter space.

By comparison, this new opening at Gaysorn Plaza is a little more humble. Just launched last week, Papersmith by Booksmith is the first outpost bookstore in Bangkok from the team behind The Booksmith, Chiang Mai's much-loved independent book store that has expanded quite a bit across the Northern city.

This sleek Bangkok branch takes up just one room, but focuses on difficult-to-find art, design and fashion magazines. Similarly priced as the larger stores, titles include the links of Kinfolk, Monocle and Cereal along with other hit titles like Frankie, *Wallpapper and Vogue. There are plenty of typology and architectural hardcover books to be found, too.

Though the range is a little limited at the moment, the owners say that they accept pre-orders of other titles currently not available in Thailand.
