The compact, daily pastry menu here comes courtesy of a pastry graduate from Le Cordon Bleu Australia who perfected her art at top hotels. The team promises simple but satisfying treats with no use of margarine, artificial additives or preservatives. Bite into their deliciously sharp lemon tart with meringue, salted caramel chocolate cake or some sticky date pudding.

Kyo Roll En

Owned by the same company as ice cream shop Sfree, this Japan-inspired bakery shines the spotlight on soft-serve in intriguing flavors of bamboo charcoal and matcha soft serve use ingredients imported directly from Kyoto. They also churn the matcha into a crispy waffle cone served with parfait-like red bean paste, green tea nama chocolate cubes, and mochi toppings.

Salapao Shanghai

The bao buns at Ratchawong Pier were a Yaowarat staple for more than 50 years before turning into one of the city’s favorite sweet-treat franchises. Salapao Shanghai steams up its fresh bao to the same recipe it has always done, and also offers delicious lava buns with fillings of salted egg, chocolate, and chayen.

Duc de Praslin

With its factory established on Sukhumvit Soi 49 since 1993, Duc de Praslin specializes in authentic, rich Belgian chocolate, which it mixes with local delicacies. Coffee beans, macadamia nut and tropical fruits are used to turn out the finest chocolate truffles bursting with seasonal flavors.

Honeymee

Honeymee uses fresh milk from a family-owned, kosher-certified dairy factory to churn out insanely creamy ice cream that’s free from artificial colors or flavoring agents. Adding a local touch, they sprinkle each cup with natural honeycomb which they source directly from the farm. What’s more, they claim each spoonful’s packed with anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-viral health benefits.

Baanfoythong

Passed on from generation to generation, Baanfoythong started out in 1970 in front of Wat Jantaram. Today, the third generation owners continue their grandmother’s crafty, traditional process for making Thai sweet delicacies like saneh jaan, ja mongkut, thong yod, foythong, and many more only from quality duck eggs that are no more than three days old, resulting in perfect golden thread.
