Joe Sloane, Bangkok’s sausage-maker extraordinaire, has set up a butcher shop in Thonglor, joining the sprawling Viva Thonglor complex.

At Sloane’s Thonglor you’ll find a range of ethically-sourced produce beyond which you usually find in Villa or Gourmet Market freezer.

On top of the classic pork and apple (B58/100g) and chorizo (B58/100g) sausages, expect plenty of cured meats and cheeses. Definitely worth your while is the pastrami (B100/100g) and pistachio mortadella (B60/100g), to go with truffle brie (B295/100g) and cottage cheese (B195/250g).

They also carry specialty cuts of beef, all prepped on the spot.
