The buzz: November means one thing: drinking outdoors. It's the month when alfresco beer gardens pop up all over town to mark the coming of winter. The first to welcome the action is leading beer brand Chang, whose main stage in front of CentralWorld is already open under the theme "Every Day Like Never Before." Split into two zones—Chang Live Park and Chang Lifestyle—the venue will feature live performances from some Thailand's biggest names in rock and pop, plus plenty of drinks promos. More branches will follow until the end of December.

The decor: The two pop-up halls are decked out to resemble urban gardens, in the brand's trademark white, green and gold. Chang Live Park puts the focus on a huge concert stage, while Chang Life Style Lounge goes for a cozier vibe with white couches and stools, and a smaller, more intimate stage.

The music: Pick your vibe. Chang Live Park welcomes a long list of Thailand’s favorite pop-rock artists with lineup includes popsanova master Stamp (Nov 17), the upbeat Duck Night Party by What The Duck (Nov 19), rockers Slot Machine, 60 Miles and Better Weather (Nov 24), diva duo New Jew (Nov 26), Paradox (Dec 1), Smallroom jam session (Dec 3), Instinct (Dec 8), Potato (Dec 10), Two Popetorn feat. Triumphs Kingdom (Dec 15), Jazz, Sputnix, Papiyong and Kookkook (Dec 17), hip-hop royalty Joey Boy (Dec 22), Jenifer Kim and Koh Mr. Saxman (Dec 25), Aof Pongsak (Dec 29) and Flure (Dec 31). The more laid-back option, Chang Lifestyle Lounge, aims for a chat-friendly atmosphere, but still features the breezy acoustic pop of Lipta (Nov 18), Sexy DJ (Fahsai and Roxy June, Nov 25), Pijika and Praew Kanitkul (Dec 2), Pango and Opal (Dec 9), Singtoe Numchoke (Dec 16), DJ Spydamonkee feat. What Dat Frog and Jedie (Dec 23) and Room 39 (Dec 31).

The food and drinks: Chang beer starts from B50 for a small bottle, but we'd recommend gathering the gang and going for the draught option at B540 for a 3-litre tower. Similar to last year, there's also a special menu of drinking dishes made with Chang. Try the beer-marinated spicy prawn (B250), a twist on Thais' beloved raw prawn in spicy dressing that's cooked at medium heat and topped with draught Chang before serving. There are two choices of pasta, one of which comes with deep-fried crispy chicken marinated with beer (B250), and another with garlic pork steak (B250). The deep-fried spare-ribs, also marinated with beer (B250), are another highlight. Other fiery fare includes Thai-style crispy grilled chicken (B180), spicy Thai soup with baby spare ribs (B180) and New Orleans chicken wings (B150).

Chang Live Park is now open at CentralWorld (Rama 1 Rd. BTS Siam), while other branches will follow in other Bangkok hot spots AsiatiqueSathorn SquareMega BangnaThe Street RatchadaEmquartier and Central Westgate by the beginning of December.
