BANGKOK BARS & CLUBS:
Goji Terrace

  • Goji Terrace

That gigantic new Marriott hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 22 has introduced a new alfresco spot in front of its Goji Kitchen + Bar buffet—and it's quite a hidden gem.

Since it's located round the back of the hotel, you'd never actually see it from Soi 22, but that also means it gets some great views over Benjasiri Park—really, the views from out here look more like a residential part of Taipei than Bangkok.

Booze focuses on draft beers like Brewdog Punk IPA 5.6% (B230 for 250ml; B350 for 470ml), Maisel's Weisse Original 5.2% (B200; B330) and La Chouffe 8% (B240; B370). They also have cider from Brothers and Happy Monster, all priced at B250/bottle.

Food sticks to the sort of stuff you want with a beer: fish and chips (B260) and barbecue spare ribs paired with homemade pickled (B360).

Here’s where you should organize your next sustainable conference around Thailand

The globally recognized ISO 20121 certification, otherwise known as Event Sustainability Management Systems, encourages organizations in the events industry to make its products, events and services more sustainable. Thailand is the second country in the world to implement the certification after the United Kingdom, with five venues that have met the required standards since 2012. Under the ISO’s goals, venues are encouraged to combine profit, people and the planet in a way that is truly sustainable. Here's why you should pick these five ISO 20121-certified venues for your next conference.

First promised for August last year, the all-in-one "Mangmoom" card has been a long, long time coming. Latest estimates put it as launching in October, but frustrated Bangkok commuters are used to waiting. Here are some things that should have been done years ago.
