The date is set for Road to Ultra ThailandJun 11 at BITEC Bang Na.

But many EDM fans have had mixed feelings about last night's announcement, as they were hoping for a full-scale Ultra Music Festival as will take places in other countries around Asia, like Seoul (Ultra Korea on Jun 10-12), Tokyo (Ultra Japan on Sep 17-19) and Indonesia (Ultra Beach Bali on date TBA). This was coupled with the disappointment that one of last year's main draws, Alesso, never made it to Bangkok in the end.

Tickets to the Miami Ultra Fest have been sold out, with the official lineup including the biggest names like Avicii, Armin van Buuren, Hardwell, Martin Garrix, Zedd and Tiesto.

The official lineup for Road to Ultra: Thailand is still TBA, but Ultra Korea’s phase 1 lineup might include some clues: Afrojack, Avicii, Axwell Ingrosso and Martin Garrix. For the latest news, see roadtoultra.com/thailand.

In the meantime, here’s the aftermovie from last year’s Road to Ultra Thailand.
