[Gallery] These images by forgotten Thai photographers are the best thing we've seen this week
Here, we take a look at Rediscovering Forgotten Thai Masters of Photography, one of the main exhibitions at Photo Bangkok Festival 2015.
Rediscovering Forgotten Thai Masters of Photography is an exhibition curated by renowned photographer Manit Sriwanichpoom, who, as a photography lecturer, was initially unable to find photographic works by Thai artists for his students to learn from. Thus, the search for the forgotten masterpieces began back in 2011.
This current exhibition contains the work of seven Thai masters of photography: Buddhadasa Bhikku (1906-1993), Mom Luang Toy Xoomsai (1906-1961), Liang Ewe (1911-1992), Saengjun Limlohakul (1924-1997), S.H. Lim (1930-present), Rong Wong-savun (1932-2009) and Pornsak Sakdaenprai (1938-present). Here's a sneak peek:

The exhibition's opening reception takes place on Saturday, Sep 19, at 6pm. There will also be a pre-opening talk session by one of the masters and the curator at 3-5pm. Through Oct 31.
